The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), is a federal law that protects the privacy of students’ education records. The Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA) affords parents certain rights regarding the conduct of surveys, collection and use of information for marketing purposes, and certain physical exams.
