An overview of actions taken by the 86th Texas Legislature that impact public school education in Texas. Explore background knowledge of changes to the Texas Education Code that will result in the development of new governance policies, both legal and local, that will guide the implementation of the passed legislation. This course will cover legistlative changes in school finance, school safety, academics, teacher compensation and preparation, governance, and charter school bills.
