Module 2 of the Youth Mental Health Series is here! This next essential training is designed to help school staff recognize and respond to signs of self-harm and suicide risk in students.

This module goes beyond compliance and continues the important work to meet House Bill 3 and TEC §38.351 requirements while equipping your team with practical strategies to support students in crisis.

In Module 2, participants will
Learn how to recognize warning signs of self-harm and suicidal ideation
Understand how these behaviors impact student well-being and school safety
Gain trauma-informed strategies to respond calmly, quickly, and compassionately
Discover how to connect students with appropriate resources and support

This module empowers educators and staff to respond with empathy and urgency, creating a school environment where students in distress are seen, supported, and never alone.

We know this is a priority for many districts, and we are proud to continue providing training solutions that meet the moment. Module 3 is coming soon to complete this comprehensive series.

Log in now to get started with Youth Mental Health Series Module 2, available in your Eduhero course catalog.

Eduhero Notification - Seizure Awareness & Cybersecurity
Hello,

We know it's a busy time of the year. But had a few important items to share. Moving forward, we are going to send notifications for important information.

This email is to inform you that we are removing the Seizure Awareness course from Eduhero. During the 86th Legislative Session, this course was added as a requirement and must be TEA-Approved. The ONLY TEA approved course is provided by The Epilepsy Foundation and can be found here. It can be taken free of charge. We apologize for any inconvenience but want to avoid any confusion.

Any user that has completed Seizure Awareness will keep their certificate and CPE credit. However, it will be removed from any Plan. Please let me know if there are any issues on your end.

In addition to this change, we have great news. We have added a DIR-Approved Cybersecurity for Educators course. It is included, at no additional cost, to our current Heroic Package subscribers. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. We are happy to help. Have a great day.

November 25th, 2014 12:56PM

Happy Thanksgiving from Eduhero!
It's that time of year again! We're at the start of that wonderful season where we pause and reflect on all of the things for which we're thankful. We wish you a festive holiday and hope it marks the start of a wonderful joyous season.

All Eduhero staff will be on vacation from 11/26 - 11/30, but the website itself will still be available for all of your needs. Take this time to kick your feet back, enjoy your time off, and spend time with your family and friends.

Happy Thanksgiving educators!

Spotlight - Alvin ISD & New Caney ISD

August 29th, 2013 6:39PM

NewCaney&AlvinBlog.jpgWe are excited to announce that New Caney ISD & Alvin ISD have completed over 4,000 hours of coursework in Eduhero! This is no small task, and we are encouraged by the amount of dedication our schools have shown, and the commitment they have given to improve themselves as educators. Often, teachers are tasked with the need to facilitate their student's growth so much so that they limit their ability to grow as professionals. It is teachers like those at New Caney ISD & Alvin ISD that show us there are educators that seek to continue to grow personally so they can continue to pour their passion into their students on a daily basis.

A big thanks to both of these districts for their constant participation and we applaud you for your effort in your work, which helps to support our mission of impacting teachers across Texas. It is and has always been our hope that Eduhero can serve as a resource for teachers who want to grow in their careers, and that we can provide an avenue to help accomplish these goals. The feedback you as educators have provided us has helped us to grow and develop to be able to better serve all of our districts. Keep up the great work!
